Privacy Policy

Maddox Labs (maddoxlabs.com) is Ben Maddox's personal site: a blog, small browser games, and a newsletter. This page explains what information the site and its partners collect, and the choices you have.

Advertising

Some pages on this site show ads from Google AdSense, and some games show an ad between rounds. The home page and the toddler games don't show ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
  • To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Where the law requires it, you'll be asked for consent before cookies are used for personalized ads.

Analytics

The site uses two analytics tools to see which pages people read:

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is stored by Mailchimp, which sends the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link. See Mailchimp's privacy policy.

Games

Games save your progress and best scores in your browser's local storage, on your device. Share links carry game details, like a level or a score, inside the link itself. Maddox Labs doesn't run a server that stores your games or scores.

Hosting

Like most websites, the site's host may keep standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and protect the service.

Children

The toddler games don't show ads, and the site doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children.
