Ant Farm

· Pour sugar, dye the sand, drop in a bug, and shake it all up. The ants dig tunnels of their own and rebuild after you.

The ants dig using rules from real ant-nest research: long curving tunnels, a few branches, loops, and storage pockets, with dirt left between them. A bigger colony digs a bigger nest, and busy routes get wider.

Dig with a finger, feed them sugar, or tint the sand and watch the color spread. Beetles, spiders, and roaches start fights, and big bugs can't fit into narrow tunnels. Shake the farm (or your phone) and the ants dig out and rebuild.

Plays with touch or a mouse, and is built for phones. About this project
